Harbor Fitness rules! I really enjoy it, and have for many years. It's always clean and there's a ton of equipment. Everyone at the front desk from Andrew, Tom, Skye and everyone else are super helpful, the shakes are delicious, and the hours are very flexible. Mike G is the man and he and Chris have always cultivated a great vibe overall, and it's honestly been that way since I first walked in many years ago. In my opinion, Harbor is the best gym in all of Brooklyn, and will always be the only gym I belong to.

Mar 21, 2025 · Anthony PetitoI've been going to Harbor Fitness for the past seven years (give or take), and it's worth every penny. I've been to cheaper gyms, but you truly get what you pay for here. The staff is always incredibly friendly, and the welcoming atmosphere they create makes all the difference. I split my time between two locations, depending on the day, and the 92nd Street location is definitely worth the extra drive. One standout team member is Chris, whom I frequently see during the early morning shift. I am consistently impressed by his kindness and willingness to help. He truly represents the high standard of customer service that reflects well on the entire team. Starting my day at 5 AM with his warm welcome makes a huge difference in my workout experience. Manager Tiffany is also fantastic—she is not only kind but extremely accommodating to guests. Harbor Fitness sets the bar high for both quality and service. Highly recommend!
Mar 03, 2025 · Alex E.The manager is your typical “I’m doing my job” employee, stopped me from getting a workout in after work, and I was willing to pay for the day. I walked in at 11:08 and he told me the deadline was 11 and wouldn’t let me slide even though I was just looking for parking. But instead buddy started hyperventilating/crying talking about I don’t want to get in trouble from the boss. Maybe try to hire people with better judgment bc even his colleagues tried to convince him to let me slide. This gym will definitely not be getting my business.
Mar 06, 2025 · Arb MujajIt is very unfortunate to have to write this review but things at this gym have taken a down hill turn within the last few years. The worst and most recent act of pure idiocy is what they have done to the men’s sauna. What is the point of having a sauna in the gym if the room does not get above 150° and the entire unit and thermostat are behind a make shift wall that prevents all heat from being exhausted causing the unit to shut its self off after 3 minutes of running. This is delusional and silly. We are grown men, who pay a hefty membership fee month in month out many of us for decades. Ownership needs to fix other issues in the gym before they worry about locking up the sauna and making the experience horrible for life long members. The gym is smelly and disgusting most times you enter day or night. The locker room is cramped and nearly half the lockers are rentals and the other half people just hoard and keep locked for themselves. Even when the gym is empty there’s hardly any lockers. High school aged kids enter the gym with food and eat in the hallways and locker rooms and leave garbage everywhere. This gym used to be a place where people showed respect to one another and to the facilities. That has eroded. Simply evident by the smell of fetid air as soon as you enter the gym. I know speak for many members when I say that with the way things are currently going I might look to cancel my membership and take my business elsewhere.
Feb 15, 2025 · Robert SanchezI had to edit my review as the men's locker room in this gym is really poor. Half the lockers are rented out and unusable, people from the sauna soak the floor, and one of the three benches where you can sit and change was recently removed for no reason. The kids at the front desk looked vacant when I asked, so I've taken to putting my shoes on in the hallway. It's a small space, but it doesn't need to be that bad. The rest of the gym is very solid, as is Dee: a trainer who started me out last year. I did several sessions to learn the basics and loved working with her. She's the opposite of the muscle-head trainer I was afraid I'd get: kind, funny, and real. Dee taught me a lot in a short time: stretches, bodyweight exercises, weak areas to work on. Now I can go in with a plan and not waste time or hurt myself. The best way to summarize those sessions is what happened with every other person walking by: they stopped to say hello to Dee. I will too, since that's just how she is. If the manager is reading this, you should probably give Dee a raise. She makes your gym a better place daily.
