It's been many years since I have belonged to a yoga studio in any meaningful way, and I am so grateful that this studio has come into my life! The space is beautiful, but what makes it truly special are the people, both instructors and the students. Each instructor is intentional, mindful to remember people's names and take care to be attentive throughout and after class. The students are from all walks of life - it's one of the special places where it actually does feel like it is for every body. I was so hooked after getting my monthly membership that I upgraded to the annual as soon as I was able. It is a special place for new students and seasoned as well. Feels very welcoming, peaceful, joyful, and is a gift to our neighborhood.

Apr 09, 2025 · Atlas TYoga Tribe has been my home away from home since I first arrived to Brooklyn in 2013. As a graduate student and NYC teacher looking to achieve balance and calm amidst the chaos of this unrelenting urban landscape, I have shifted and transitioned as Yoga Tribe did from its studio on Flatbush Avenue to Lefferts Garden. Yoga Tribe has evolved and flourished pre and post pandemic because of the loyal, loving, and knowledgeable staff, owners, and students. The yoga is unparalleled and rooted in the tradition that is the original 26+2. Ninety minutes of pure peace, sweat, love, and discipline. Roody, Jess, Alex, Sarah, Elly, Channing, Frank, Kerstin, and so many more have been unrelenting in their commitment to the practice and expansion of group meditation and physical expansion. As a long-time practitioner the 26+2 and the advanced 84 series that has practiced in London, Madrid, Princeton, Philadelphia and countless other studios -over the span of 18+ years- I can say there is no place like home and I am proud, honored, and privileged to call YTB home.
Apr 08, 2025 · Kate Johnson AntoñanaI wish I could give more stars. This studio is my absolute favorite and I’ve been practicing yoga in NYC for 10 years. The space is nicely decorated and, being in a warehouse, has a very “brooklyn” feel. It’s clean and lovely but there’s not an ounce of pretentiousness. The focus is on the practice but there’s a pretty consistent community which gives it a welcoming family feel. The teachers are awesome and have different styles so there’s something for everyone. The classes are a definite workout but flexible and the studio gets HOT which I personally love. They also offer “heated” classes that are less hot if you don’t want to be dripping in sweat. The owners (Roody and Jess) are absolutely wonderful. And it’s by far the most diverse studio I’ve ever been to - all ages, races and genders. It’s really such a special place, love YTB.
Sep 14, 2023 · Rachel WestNYC has a lot of great yoga offerings with Yoga Tribe being one of the best. The community is supportive and caring. The studio is spacious with great light, and clean locker rooms. I've been taking classes at Yoga Tribe for the past 2 years and couldn't be happier.
Apr 08, 2025 · DeidreI came to YTB this May excited that there was a good yoga studio in my neighborhood. I kept hearing good things. Since starting I have been blown away by the quality of the teaching, the strong sense of the community, the diversity of classes, and the fact that they are committed to "meet you where you are" in your practice. 6 months later i am 90 classes into my experience, and i have trimmed a "Dad-Bod" into something closer to "has-potential?" My hips and hamstrings are still tight, but I can now do 2 hour advanced classes, and the first thing i am thinking is what my next class will be. Last thing.. the people are awesome.. don't make the mistake of not trying this out!
