I went with a class pass in 2019. It was my first time doing yoga after a long time after a shoulder injury. The class was small. I had a hard time with certain positions. I briefly let the instructor know that my shoulder had some limitations when she acknowledged me. At the end of the class, in front of the few others, I was rudely asked if I was pregnant, and questioned about my injury. Really turned me off and honestly left a bit traumatized, especially being surrounded by white women as a POC, felt really unwelcome and would not recommend.

Feb 18, 2025 · YasminLove this place. It is right in the mix of Bushwick Brooklyn and feels very ingrained with the vibe of that neighborhood. The space is rustic and has a vintage feel while still being modern. There are many yogic events outside of yoga itself (singing bowls/workshops). You will end up taking a good class and can get a good bite to eat before your next stop
Oct 25, 2022 · Nicholas “Quazzy” HerdFavourite studio ! Leslie (the owner) is incredible gifted, kind and makes you feel part of a family. The studio has the gorgeous green ceiling tiles authentic to the building, and a small backyard for yoga under the stars in the warmer months.
Dec 10, 2023 · Géraldine PettineoLove love love this studio. I am plus sized and modify poses often. I always feel supported here. Leslie is my favorite, you can’t go wrong with any of her classes. Thank you for such an inclusive and calming environment.
Apr 21, 2023 · Emily MedinaSolid Gold is such a treasure—I’m so grateful for this wonderful neighborhood studio. Leslie is an amazing instructor and calming presence. The classes are the perfect mix of breath and movement-focused, and I especially love when Leslie reads short, insightful excerpts from books aloud during the closing rest period. I always leave class refreshed and with new perspective. My husband and I have been attending remote Zoom classes throughout the pandemic and they’ve been so crucial during this hard time.
