From my first day walking into the gym to my last i’ve enjoyed every moment of being apart of EQBC. I felt welcomed as it damn near became my second home. The vibe makes you want to train harder and show up everyday. No egos, everyone helps out and supports one another. You come to work and you will see results. Hard to find a genuine gym after this one

Jan 07, 2025 · Divon RomeoI love this place. I’m a 20 year educator. I’ve been a gym teacher and I am currently a dean in a middle school. I also coach basketball and I have been a life long athlete. I first met Coach Al Alvir when he partnered with my school to start a boxing program for our at risk student. Once seeing his approach and expertise I felt I had to start training at his gym. I began not very knowledgeable about boxing but my skills have grown immeasurably since joining Eastern Queens Boxing Club. The entire team is great and the environment is top notch.
Oct 22, 2024 · Giovanni JamiesonI started coming here back in November and I didn’t know what to expect but I can proudly say that joining this gym was one of the best decisions I made in my life. The coaches here could either be your friend or your mentor the choice is yours because there are no classes but they are always watching you and critiquing your technique and how you could improve—You might ask then why should you join? Because this isn’t just a regular boxing gym it’s really just a Big Family and the discipline that you would learn here will stay with you for the rest of your life. This gym is a hidden gem and I would recommend everyone to train here for at least just one month and see the discipline you learn! Shout to Coach Christian, Naeebel, Manny, Raul, Shaeed, and head Coach Al for making the gym a friendly atmosphere for everybody.
May 06, 2023 · Cedric LacombeGreat gym. My son has been here for 6 years and we’ve seen the evolution. It’s better now than it’s ever been before. No egos. My son won the 2024 Nationals Silver Gloves. I strongly suggest paying for sessions with the head coach Al if you or your kid is serious about competing.
Apr 09, 2024 · Mario RomeroEQBC is the definition of what a boxing gym should be like straight up like something out of a Rocky movie. The coaches and everyone that goes there are some of the nicest people you can meet straight up people. In the three years that I have been going there I have not met a person who seemed negative. Coach Al, who is the head coach is one of the nicest people you can meet very understanding, and he goes out of his way, especially to help young people to be on the right track, I never forget when I was having some issues with my younger daughter he let her go there for free. He’s very caring. I personally got to say that all the coaches that I have work with Coach Linden, Coach Chris, Coach Nibeel , coach Rob who’s usually in the morning and the weekends along with Coach Raul and Coach Manny who I’m currently working with, are some of the most patient people and caring people that you can meet especially when it comes to The Sweet science of Boxing they take their time with you and they’re very patient and they keep it 100. Boxing is not a sport you play with you see the truth about an individual when they go into the ring there’s nothing to play with therefore, if you’re going to get into this martial art you gotta be real with yourself and you want the coaches to be with you you gotta develop a tough skin as well as being Open to positive criticism to better yourself in this science. I would highly recommend this Boxing school to anybody who is interested in learning the Sweet Science.
