Crunch Fitness - Rochdale

As someone who’s had gym memberships all over the boroughs, I can confidently say Crunch Rochdale is truly one of a kind. The GM Josh exemplifies what it means to lead with excellence. He’s consistently visible on the floor, supporting staff, greeting members, checking equipment and making sure the entire club operates at a high standard every single day. His transparency, approachability, and hands on leadership are evident in everything he does. The welcoming, inclusive atmosphere he’s built is a direct reflection of that leadership—where everyone from first-timers to serious lifters and active seniors feels respected and supported. The ASM Tina ensures the space is clean, fully staffed, and member ready at all times. Her presence is felt in the daily flow of the gym and it’s always a boost when she’s in motion with the team. The gym is consistently spotless and the cleaning staff deserves credit for upholding that standard while remaining friendly and engaged throughout the day. Their attention to detail and positive attitude truly enhance the overall atmosphere. The trainers bring consistent high energy and professionalism to the floor. They're approachable, attentive and help create the positive motivating atmosphere the gym is known for. PT Marlon made a strong first impression by greeting me warmly, introducing himself and offering a helpful form tip. The facility is thoughtfully laid out and spacious with plenty of equipment and open areas on the turf and studio. It’s rare at this price point to find a gym offering squat platforms, heavy weights and variety for real training. Crunch Rochdale delivers. The group classes are also worth joining with motivating instructors, great music and options for all fitness levels. If you’re looking for a clean, well-managed gym offering variety, consistency and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, Crunch Rochdale is absolutely worth checking out.

I've been to a lot of gyms and most of them are dirty and the associates are not helpful. I had crunch membership before and stopped going because a change of schedule. I signed back up last night the associate Elijah was so helpful and friendly. He motivated me to actually participate in some of the programs they offer, helped set up my app and the gym itself was very clean compared to other gyms I have visited. I will only give 4 stars instead of 5 because the gym is kind of small but it's worth the price to come here.

Out-of-towner here 🙋‍♀️ came for the free day pass. I travel a lot and love checking out new gyms! This one is actually great! I came mid morning on a Friday and while it was semi-busy, I was able to jump around and get the machines I needed. Equipment works well, everyone wipes down the machines when they are done, and staff are really kind! Bathrooms very clean. Not a destination gym but great for normal, everyday gym use.

I have passport membership, and this is the dirtiest crunch I have been to. The bathroom smells like they have homeless people bathing in there. It's unacceptable.

I was a member of Crunch Rochdale from October 2020 to December 2024. The staff members are friendly and the exercise machines are top-notch. Unfortunately , the people who go to this gym are low-class. There are guys who spend a half hour at a machine. And during that half hour, they’ll do a set, look at their phone for 5 minutes, and then do another set. There are also people who act like they’re at a nightclub instead of a gym. Many people gratuitously use the n-word, which I feel is disrespectful. In order to terminate my membership at Rochdale, I had to pay the fee for the month after I requested a termination. I felt that was unfair, but it is what it is. After leaving Rochdale, I joined another Crunch.
