If you enjoy being charged for services you’ll never receive, the South Slope Crunch is the place for you. After I canceled my membership, they still charged me a $93 annual fee—meant to cover the upcoming year, which I won’t be using. When I questioned it, their response was basically, “Yeah, we do that. It’s our policy.” Let’s be clear: charging an “annual fee” after a cancellation isn’t just shady—it’s a blatant cash grab. Their cancellation process seems designed to extract more money from members, and management doesn’t seem to care when you call them out on it. Save yourself the frustration—go to a gym that actually values its members and doesn’t nickel-and-dime you on the way out.

Feb 24, 2025 · Jeffrey DavenjayIf you’re currently looking for a gym to start your New Year’s resolutions this isn’t it. 3 out of 12 treadmills are currently broken. The tv channels are non existent unless you’re into watching spectrum news or PBS children’s shows. Twice I’ve seen and heard people taking work calls loudly while on the bikes. Look elsewhere for a gym. I know I will. 02.16 Two weeks later the same issues persist. I told the person at the front desk I wanted to cancel my membership l and she pointed me to a tablet to do it myself. Do not expect anything from this crunch location.
Feb 18, 2024 · B WSo they have this sign outside that says stop in for 1 day guest pass, I went it and they said I have to pay 35$. Make it make sense, the staff didn’t seem friendly or professional, I would avoid this location if I was you.
Sep 26, 2024 · sergio vaysmanWas really happy with this gym! I like that it's usually not too crowded. Staff are nice and the locker room is clean. Also really liked the classes I took here — nice instructors and not intimidating. Would definitely recommend. Had to cancel because I'm moving and I appreciated that that experience was seamless too (I know some gyms make it a headache to cancel).
Apr 12, 2024 · Jillian CapewellWent on a Sat afternoon/evening. Wanted to shower at the end because I had plans to meet up with a friend. Needless to say, bring your own towel on weekends 😂. Each towel basket (tower) seemed to have just been ignored all day long. I will be looking for other gym options, although I really really had hope for this location.
