Park Slope Muay Thai is great! Coach Caleb is a friendly and passionate teacher who leads challenging classes that definitely show us how intricate and effective Muay Thai is as a martial art! The techniques he teaches are slick and the conditioning routines he pushes us through are crazy good. I'm lighter, stronger, and way more flexible now than I was before I started. Class ambiance is fun and relaxed, music is playing, lots of smiling and laughing, despite how hard the work outs are! It's important to note that while you are learning to fight and you are kicking and punching each other in drills, it is NOT a scary/intimating environment. No one here is training here to become the next UFC champion, no one is going to try and kick you in the head and knock you out. Caleb is here to teach you how to fight and defend yourself and how to move your body with purpose. And most importantly, the post-class endorphin high is REAL! Mar 17, 2025 · Brian HaHad a great first class. Caleb is very knowledgeable and patient with his students. The class was fun, engaging, tough, informative, and very rewarding. Can’t wait to come back for another class. Perfect blend of a work out and learning a new skill. They provide gear for your first class or you can buy the gear for a very good price with your first class.
Mar 16, 2025 · Arkadiy StepanchukMy husband and boys train in Ju Jitsu at Park Slope BJJ, and when I found out they were offering Muay Thai boxing, I got curious. I tried some basic kickboxing in college and really enjoyed it. Caleb is incredible! His teaching style is both approachable and effective. You can tell he’s genuinely passionate about the art and really cares that his students learn it properly. He takes the time to demonstrate and drill with us. It’s not just about punches and kicks—there’s also a lot of body conditioning, and I can already feel myself getting stronger. I've tried personal training and group workouts before, but I’ve never felt this energized or motivated. I love the daytime class because it’s my ME time
Mar 13, 2025 · Nancy YuLove this gym, coach Caleb is the reason. Awesome coach for all levels and all ages. Highly recommend checking his classes out!
Mar 17, 2025 · Derek WongCoach Caleb is the best. His classes are taught in the same building as Park Slope Academy of BJJ. He's fought professionally in Thailand and in ths states, and is clearly so knowledgeable about muay thai. He really cares about his students, and always finds a way to make the classes challenging but also fun (he plays great music too). Classes always pass the vibe check. Such a hidden gem in Park Slope.
