I have been a member on and off for over three years. Mario was super helpful today. Trainers- they are great and just happy in general. I felt and still feel apart of the little community. Equipment- I understand the high cost of nyc limits the amount of space available. This means there are for example only one dedicated bench press, one incline chest press, and one power rack. I could see replacing the two single use equipment with power racks instead. This will allow more efficient use of the space and will satisfy the desires of more experienced lifters. I would also recommend replacing the extra chest press machines with a much more versatile piece of equipment. Versatility of the equipment makes all the difference. Even moving some of the extra treadmills for one or two more machines will also make a massive impact. Pricing - guest pass is 30$ a day compared to the one in Florida that is probably 15x the size and quality with a sauna, massage beds, cryo chambers, and three massive studios for 15$. Make changes with the quality and versatility of all the machines and begin handing out free day visits to get people to check it out. Overall- it is a gym and is good enough for me - I am 18 and a D1 football athlete

Nov 26, 2024 · Gustav SteffelinI am sure the gym is beautiful. It is in a fantastic location. I should know since I walked from 116th in Harlem , through Central Park, to get there. I arrived at 10:30 having no idea I was on a serious time “crunch”. 120 min starting at 10am, for open gym. Customer service was impeccable- it was the most polite, we do not give AF you could ever ask for. I was 15 min late to a 120 min self directed workout to do squats and lunges and hopefully use the facilities before I walked the hour back to Harlem. The front desk response was “sorry your late… that’s policy…and we already charged you for not being here”, … 15 min was quick to report me, so that’s good for them! … the response was “but you can purchase a day pass, since we already reported you to Class Pass”. Me- standing in awe because it was so professionally orchestrated without empathy or care- but professionally the best corporate fck off I’ve seen to date. I’ve been treated worse- but this is not the crunch or the cool New York vibe I know and remember from when I was an original member 20 plus years ago. You should have given me a little grace- let me use the remaining gym time, or at least wipe the sweat off my brow from walking…- but instead of giving any grace- a soft one fingered bird and a smile of code book superiority. That’s silly and not the cool factor crunch was once known for.
Nov 18, 2024 · kerri fitzgerald learyThis is one of the smaller Crunch gyms. However it has the cleanest bathroom of all Crunch Gyms I’ve visited in Manhattan. This is also one of the only locations that you don’t need to bring a lock as it’s integrated with the locker. I frequent the 59th street Crunch and that women’s locker room is like a dungeon. I never take showers there. This one I would happily take a shower after a workout.
Oct 03, 2024 · Jessica LeeCame here yesterday 1/9 to try the 3 day pass with my boyfriend. Rude and unwelcoming guy at the front denied my boyfriends free pass because he said that because he used it 4 years ago that he wasn’t able to use it now and that is written in the “fine print”. If you see in the picture attached the email they sent me clearly says you can’t use the 3 day pass if you used the pass in the last 30 days… he came here 4 years ago. Maybe train your staff better on correct information instead of having them act so rude and condescending :)
Jan 10, 2025 · Arshi PapazyanA solid gym with a lot of equipments. Locker rooms are in a top condition as well which was very pleasant to see. Thanks a lot Mario for getting everything sorted quickly!
