Before the pandemic, I worked out at Pilates on the Square, NY. Which became Body Evolution a few years after. Eight years or more, I find myself loyal to this studio. Body Evolution took over and my options to visit other locations expanded. I can book classes at any of the Locations they own, making it easy for me to go to and release all the tension my body holds at the end of the day. The Pilates Reformer and Tower classes are challenging but so good for the body. Cassie Washington is one of the best instructors with her sweet and happy personality she makes you feel comfortable at any level. This month I began to incorporate Gyrotonic in to my routine and I am having a good time learning the process with Isabella Akel. Body Evolution has been a sanctuary for me for many years. Pilates is a way to keep your body moving in healthy and rewarding way. Try it!

I had a very good experience here with Gyrotonic instructor Ms. Tsai. I have been suffering from muscle tightness and poor posture for a long time. After exercise, the original muscle tightness was gone, my blood was running happily in my body without barrier again, also I felt my muscles were doing a better job supporting me in a good posture. It's really surprising! Location is good. The equipment is very new and clean, and the people are friendly. It's a very joyful experience. I highly recommend it!

This is the best Pilates studio I’ve ever been to. BE is the first studio I ever tried for Pilates and for the time I was living on the UWS, Anthony’s 9 AM classes became a regular part of my weekly routine. He is a great instructor, knowledgeable and friendly, makes nice conversation but doesn’t just gab the whole time (a pet peeve in fitness classes). He takes the time to explain movements and correct form. I got into Pilates to help strengthen my upper back and BE and Anthony’s classes have certainly helped me make huge progress in that goal. Highly recommend!

This is not classic Pilates. This is one of those trendy Pilates workouts that don't actually work on your core and pelvic core. I used to teach classic Pilates 17 years ago and I used to tell my clients you need a private session before beginning any group Pilates class so you know what you're doing because Pilates is not what you see but what you feel. This was my first time at this studio. I was wondering at the beginning of class why the counts were so fast and only up to 6-8. Then after a few leg warm ups I realized this wasn't classic. It's quite a shame that all those beautiful equipment are not being used properly. If you just want a trendy workout you can go to solid core or any other ab classes you find at most gyms. Pilates, the classic, can really help change lives. I have an SI joint dysfunction and I wanted to go back to doing Pilates so I can strengthen my pelvic floor, and also so I can improve my body awareness for the other sports that I do (aerials and swimming). But this class definitely did not deliver.
