Native New Yorker who’s done my fair share of hot yoga. This had to be the most unhygienic STICKY STEAM filled yoga class (this is not dry heat as most) The floor was soaked, covered in huge PUDDLES of sweat all over the floor which you walk through to get out. It was like 60 bodies in a steamy sweat chamber together drinking each others breathing and sweat. I had to squeeze the liquid out of my clothes when I got out and my hair ended up drying stiff from the accumulation of everyone’s sweat. The instructor spoke 100mph with no breaks.

Feb 09, 2025 · Rachel NovickFirst time here, and will not come back. It was a full class, which means it was super packed. Everyone’s mat is like only 3inches next to the other mat. So when the person next to you sweat like a waterfall, you are basically being washed. His/her sweat drops off your mat when stretching. At the 2nd half of the class, I don’t even want to step outside my mat when doing stretch because I don’t want to step in the other people’s sweat puddle. The studio should really decrease the class size with the space given. Also the instructor Tricia didn’t practice the yoga herself, she just gives instructions/guide verbally. I don’t doubt she is a great instructor but I get confused by verbal instruction multiple times and have to look at what other people are doing. Ofc not everyone is doing the same thing which confuses me more. It seems she is injured because I saw the front desk staff held her to the room and she crippled. So why didn’t the studio substitute another instructor who can really practice with the class? Or this is what all classes like. Anyway it wasn’t a pleasant experience for me and I only speak for myself.
Mar 06, 2025 · Luqi GuoBig thank you to Arnell and Zina (very sorry if I misspelled your names!!) - immediate smiles and warmth from the front desk, made me feel comfortable as a newcomer and everything was explained amazingly. Thank you to Kelly, our instructor! I appreciated the different options that were presented depending on difficulty, also the patience and empathy in making sure people took water breaks and were focused on their wellbeing. My biggest concern going into this was feeling woozy from the heat, but I had just enough water for the session. I’ll have to slightly agree with the previous reviews about spacing and class size, because there were a couple of movements where we had to be conscientious of limited space between people. But otherwise, all things considered, I felt comfortable and everyone was nice and understanding about that, which is the best thing. So thank you to the people working here! Also the changing+lockers+bathrooms were pretty spacious!! You either can put your things in a locker with key or in a cubbie. The exercise itself is HARD. Please do not try to match anyone else in the room, go at your own pace and beat, take breaks if you must! The heat of the room hits you as soon as you walk in.
Mar 12, 2025 · Faina GordoverChris' vibe is amazing, encouraging and soothing. The class has somewhat of an Ashtanga flow, the room is hot, and we got a great stretch in, with some balancing poses to tie it all together. Great class for all levels!
