I have been a member of this gym for a while and I said no more! There is no supervision of children in the weight and machine area, as well as no supervision of older people using these machines. The air conditioning is horrible, you never feel it, it is so uncomfortable to exercise in the heat. The bathrooms look old and dirty. There are machines that have been damaged for a long time and they do not fix them. To clean your machine, the times are that you do not get the paper to clean. Pay $80 for a membership to this gym, for much less you can get something better. It is a disappointment to be a member of this gym and see how decadent and little attention is paid to the infrastructure.

Dec 21, 2024 · RunaCat ReviewClean, good equipment variety, great staff- courtesy and respect, and overall nice. *Locker room is freezing where it should be warm in this bitter cold weather especially ladies with wet heads and barefoot. A peaceful place where I do me! The children's art gallery is amazing with real inspirational pieces and techniques. I can see the talent in some. I look forward to seeing the works of art.
Feb 25, 2025 · iz geeThis is a branch that feels close to home, but it’s also the one I least want to visit. Sometimes, I see groups of teenagers sitting on the stairs or gathering around the equipment, mostly just chatting rather than actually using it. The supervision is quite weak. The worst part is that today, I saw a group of kids vaping in the men’s restroom on the second floor, next to the cardio zone. This is supposed to be a place for exercising and maintaining good health, so why isn’t there better supervision? That being said, I have already reported this to the staff at the front desk. I hope the atmosphere improves and makes this place more inviting.
Mar 24, 2025 · Aaron BoykungI recently got a membership for the L.I.C. YMCA and so far it has been a great experience! The staff and members are very friendly. Its a very nice atmosphere and located in a convenient location. Also has a parking lot, I never had issues finding parking.(its an extra fee with the membership but worth it) Tho alot of people join the YMCA, its not extremely crowded. The pool is spacious and well maintained, the locker rooms are clean. I mainly joined the Y to have access to a pool year round and happy I found a nice pool to go to not too far from my home and job.
Jan 17, 2025 · ZANE ZAJKOWSKII had a terrible experience at the YMCA. The staff is beyond unfriendly — it’s like they go out of their way to be rude. Every interaction felt like I was inconveniencing them, and they made no effort to help or be welcoming. It’s honestly baffling how they work in a customer-facing environment. From the front desk , the attitude is the same: uninterested, dismissive, and occasionally downright hostile. It’s not just one bad day either — I’ve been there multiple times, hoping it would get better, but nope. If you’re looking for a place where you feel comfortable and supported, avoid this YMCA. There are better gyms where the staff actually cares about their members.
