Great attentive service at the front desk! The gym has lots of people but has even more equipment and machines. The place is very clean and organized, with all the weights in their place. Its a great environment for working out. They also have a ton of merch and smoothies and bunch of protein stuff you can buy. All you can ask from a gym.

highlights: -24 hours Monday to Friday - really the only one in the area that is 24 hours. i take mass transit from New York City (upper west side, no less!) to come here after midnight, this gym is that worthy of service to its members. else i would have signed up nearby my home. the quality of your workout should matter to you because that is what will get you results and bring variety to your routine which keeps your workouts away from getting stale. -excellent selection of so many grip types, weights, machines, just wow, really great selection. -paper towels and cleaning stuff (hand alcohol sanitizer) and such are always stocked. this isn't planet fitness 15 blocks away where supplies are empty. -clean locker room, with 2 GOOD showers (incredible water pressure) -if equipment is broken, it gets fixed very quickly -good variety of shakes and protein bars in case you are hungry at the start of the workout or just want to grab something right after before heading to work or some other task instead of home. this does help. -excellent selection of REAL pre-workout powders (you buy it by the scoop as a singe serving). there must be about 10 or 12 different brands from what I remember. really great. -cardio "movie theater" upstairs that is air conditoned and you do cardio on a variety of equipment while watching a popular movie on a large screen. you can also do some light exercises in that room in a separate corner. this is very nice and unique to this gym because you get privacy and fun entertainment while working out. also note that it is semi-private so if you are self-conscious while working out (some people are and some people just wanna be left alone and do their own thing on cardio), this is yet another great benefit this gym offers. -right outside, around the corner of the block, there is a very quiet residental tree lined block of avenues where you can run on the wide streets if you want to go for a quick run. there is little vehicle traffic and the lanes are wide. -must mention this because it ended up being true - equipment absolutely matters. the body i have been able to build at this gym (shown in last pic - i am age 50 there!) is BY FAR because of the huge variety of equipment here at this location that targets as many muscle fibers from each region possible and with as many angles (these guys have a huge huge selection of bars as one of my pics shows), and most machines are usually free because there are so many. i could not have built this body outdoors doing calisthenics alone or at a budget gym like planet fitness. i know, because i tried doing so before i joined here. alerts: -music can be loud (at times). they do keep rotating the playlist from many genres so the songs are never on repeat nor become tiresome. -some equipment shows wear and tear/aging BUT it does always work. I am just mentioning the aesthetic. -parking is difficult to find on the street so be aware of that, however if you're willing to walk one or two blocks you can park a little bit far away where you should be able to find street parking. -not too many cons. it's a good gym to get your real hard workout in, or just something relaxing at the cardio machines upstairs or in the green grass area downstairs. ------- see pics for additional details and info.

I've enjoyed being a member here, the gym can be crowded sometimes, but I've never found that I've had to wait for machines (pro-tip, friday PM and saturday AM are great times to go). Clean, spacious, huge variety of machines, weights, and cardio. Locker rooms are well-attended to and clean (even if there are 4-5 lockers that need fixed!), and my only wish is that they were open earlier on the weekends. But I'm happy coming here and I didn't feel intimidated coming here when I was new to fitness.

Been my gym for 3 years. Honestly great gym for its price. It’s small but can easily get your workouts done. Does get packed during rush hour, but you can still manage to get a workout. Everyone in there is chill even the employees.

I initially went to this gym because my friends went here for around 4 months until I switched to the Harbour Fitness by Coney Island Ave. I primarily go to this gym around mid-mourning (8-11) but I have gone in the late afternoon for a few weeks before. The mourning is pretty empty most times but some days can randomly get pretty packed. Afternoon is packed, just like any other gym. The equipment there is a bit sub par in my opinion. A lot of the machines are old/rusty and plates will frequently stick together and fall mid-way through your set. If you can ignore that, then it's not big of a deal but I personally find it very irritating. Cardio equipment is decently varied but can frequently break/be annoying to use (ie speed limits, loud to run on, etc) and I personally find 3 stair machines not enough (it's not a deal breaker tho since I skip cardio most of the time lol). Dumbells go up to 130lbs with 2.5lbs increments until 40lbs iirc and there are many duplicates of the same weight, especially the lower weights, so it's rare for all your specific pairs to be taken. Even though I've said all these things, I still enjoy this gym for one reason: the people. I've met so many nice people there that are happy to just talk, give advice, or spot you on a lift even if you don't explicitly ask for one (that isn't a con). Every time I walk into the gym, I see people just talking to each other, joking around, and constantly have a smile on their face. (And yes, those people were the biggest, strongest, and fit people there) I still go here from time to time to workout with my friends or keep up with the people I know there but it isn't my first choice in a gym. Without the people there, I'd probably give it a 2-3/5 stars but with it, I give it a 4/5. Other smaller details: - 1 water fountain in the entire gym. Not the end of the world if it breaks tho since you can ask the employees to fill your bottle with the sink but still worth mentioning. - Locker rooms (or at least the mens one) is a bit jank with some lockers not even being lockable. My lock even got clipped one day, possibly by accident, but my stuff was left untouched. The employes were chill and gave me a new one and apologized for it. TL;DR Equipment is below average but the people there more than make up for it. Skip this gym if you are antisocial.
